Kèr Bùjāvosh (/ˈbʊʤəˑ/ /voʃ/ [photograph] [rugged]) is a subtropical Town located in Chokipakhu Hold, Vevíhgbùg Provence, within the Tauranian United Provinces.

The name Kèr Bùjāvosh is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr Bùjāvosh was founded by Skanmout Wynn Morgan, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr Bùjāvosh has a yearly average temperature of 26°C (78°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 23°C (73°F). Kèr Bùjāvosh receives an average of 142 cm/y (55 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Kèr Bùjāvosh covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 3456 m (11338 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Kèr Bùjāvosh was founded durring the early 18th century in early summer of the year 1705, by Skanmout Wynn Morgan. The establishment of Kèr Bùjāvosh suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Kèr Bùjāvosh was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 18th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Bùjāvosh is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Kèr Bùjāvosh is buildings are located arround a single premissive packed earth mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town is protected by a renforced stone fence which sits atop earthwork defences, for some of the best inexpencive defences a town of Kèr Bùjāvosh's size could have. Kèr Bùjāvosh's well-designed, yet cheep has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

A look around Kèr Bùjāvosh is like a look into a broken heart which long ago fell to corruption. There is no planning, no organization. Everyone here clearly goes about their own thing with little thought to anyone around them who isn’t selling something they need… unless of course, they would be an easy target for some robbery. The town has truly fallen to evil.

Civic Infrastructure

Kèr Bùjāvosh has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Kèr Bùjāvosh. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Kèr Bùjāvosh's parks.

Kèr Bùjāvosh has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Kèr Bùjāvosh.

Kèr Bùjāvosh has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Kèr Bùjāvosh has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Kèr Bùjāvosh's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Kèr Bùjāvosh possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Kèr Bùjāvosh's grid is powered by a boiler and turbine based power plant.

Kèr Bùjāvosh has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Kèr Bùjāvosh's natural decorations nor waterways.

Kèr Bùjāvosh has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Kèr Bùjāvosh has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

The law within Kèr Bùjāvosh is highly corrupt, or does not apply to certain favored groups or castes. Strangers might be fleeced by local lawmen, evildoers can be absolved by a payment, and powerful gentry do as they please.

Kèr Bùjāvosh's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used makes use of a large oblong hall or building with double colonnades and a semicircular apse and symmetrical central-plan, resulting in buildings with a square central mass and four arms of equal length. Decorative features included domed rooves, arches, soaring spaces, and sumptuous decoration: marble columns and inlay, mosaics on the vaults, inlaid-stone pavements, and sometimes gold coffered ceilings.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century was struck by a great wind storm. A great funnel cloud itself touched down in Kèr Bùjāvosh, bringing twisting winds which killed 208 people, 140 livestock, and 78 buildings in the disaster.. The disaster is generally remembered as the Howling Winds of Heartache.
